Deconstructing Roy Lichtenstein

7:51 am | writes:

Deconstructing Roy Lichtenstein is a side-by-side comparison of Roy Lichtenstein’s artwork next to the original comic book panel from which the art was… "appropriated." The sad part is that, in most cases, the original comic book art is far superior (in graphic quality & expressiveness) to Mr. Lichtenstein’s work. But maybe it’s hard for the average person to conceive of "art" being on something other than a canvas or a pedestal.

Remember the old 1980’s video game "Asteroids" (where you shoot blocky shapes that are supposed to be asteroids with your triangle-shaped space ship)? Yeah, neither do I. BUT, after like 20 years the asteroids are getting their revenge in a game aptly named Asteroids Revenge

Remember that old, shaky "Bigfoot" film?
Well, someone steadied it out and turned it into an interesting animated GIF.
Worth a view.
