just found one of these clearing out my grandads house, its not got a 2 on the end of the model number by the way so it may be an earlier version… does anyone know the value of this? give me a shout if anyones interested in it 07825178766 [Ed. note: be careful dialing random numbers off of the internet, people.]
i found one at a thrift shop and would like to know its value also can you help?
Congratulations on finding one! Owning mine has turned out to be about 4000 times as great as I ever imagined. As far as the cost goes, I have absolutely no idea. Whatever you can get for it is probably far less than its value as the most outstanding entertainment system you will ever own.
Hello, I do own one of them, which my neighbor was throwing it to garbage..
It was totally working but just with a bad needle.
So i orfdered a needle from http://www.turntableneedles.com/Needle-617-D7_p_1226.html . which fitted perfectly if anybody else needs.
My only complain is.. The guy i took that player didnt have the cover of the player. so no speakers at all.
So probaly i’m gonna build a cover for it and install some speakers by myself…
Thanks for that update Oguzhan! I had never expected to find needles for this player; but now I can continue to use my G-2615N-2 without fear of wearing it out. Thank you for helping out (and helping all those that find this page).
Re the needle required for my Sanyo Solid State Music Centre G2615N-2.
I tried the above site -turntableneedles .com but when I made a request for Needle 617-D7_p_1266.html I was advised that there was 0 available Any other ideas as I require
this needle urgently
H i Sanyo G2615N-2 owners re my previous message – I managed to buy the stylus but
now I find that the turntable motor has gone kapoop. Looking to buy a working turntable motor!!!
Hello, I’ve had one of these for years, charming gadget, perfect condition, needle is fine and lid/speakers/briefcase included, I was thinking of selling it which is how I found this page, if anyone knows the value of it or wants to make me an offer email me : stevytee@yahoo.co.uk, I’m based in the East Midlands in the UK.
hi i have a really nice one of these , it includes everything but i have lost the power lead does anyone have a spare or advise on where i could purchase one thjanks
Hello, Kev. Sorry to say, I haven’t been able to find a source for replacement parts. The power lead is probably one of the more generic parts of the unit, so an electronics store that tends to carry older electronic parts might be able to help you out.
This probably goes without saying, but be sure to check the compartment on the top of the player — some people don’t realize that the power lead is hidden within the unit itself.
hi sanyo-owners and lovers,
i also own one of these great portables.
and i dj three times a month with it here in berlin.
here are some impressions:

for me its the perfect tool – anything out of the box – we managend to build a line out, so it can be connected to a pa. and for my moderations i use the original microphone.
hope u enjoy the pictures – i found my new needle at: http://www.williamthakker.eu/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=05090&search_in_description=&x=0&y=0
nice greetings from berlin.

I was given a G2915nk with 8track is this rare.
to day l have been to a car boot sale and it under the table for £18 but with no plug what type plug dose it use and were can l get one
tony25s: check the compartment in the upper-right of the unit. The power cords are hidden in there when not in use. I had looked for a newer cord on the market awhile back & couldn’t find a direct match. Your best bet might be to modify a similar power cord (if you can find one).
Hi Kev I too lost the power lead but have managed to power my set by using a normal lead and attaching the brown & blue leads to the connections on a 13amp plug with the holes fitting
snugly over the relating pins of the set.
I am selling one of these units on ebay if anyone is interested (Model G-26154)? It is in really excellent condition and comes with all original working parts including the turntable needles, power cables, speakers etc etc.

Hello, this brings back memories, I grow-up with one of this in my house. Yes, that was made in 70s and my parents still have it, it is not working anymore, when I was teenager I was crying around this machinery because it was dying, that was in 80s and since then i “hate” Modern Talking because I was not able to listen that music. That was many many ears a go in Romania. Probably it was the only “machinery” in that city. And… this is real, I believe my father was tortured by the secret police related to this device. Too sad, that was during the cold war era, I hate those guys. Why the world sold us to the Russians? we are people too.
Hi I have the G2311KL-2 it looks just like the one in the photos but has a 3 pin lead. The photo and comments above seem to suggest others had a two pin lead. As my neice lost the lead I am trying to track a replacement. The centre pin seems to be slightly larger than the side pins. Any help appreciated as it has been several years since it was last used
I recently bought the G-2311KL from a cgarity shop in London for £40 and i consider that to be a good price. the unit really puts a smile on peoples faces when i get it out and best (or worst) of all the microphone mixer button turns the unit into a Karaoke machine. Only problem is as with other on this page, mine has no power lead. I have looked around but no luck. mine has the three pin version. i am resigned to the fact i may have to rely on rechargeable batteries until i can figure out what to do next.. probably need to get an expert on the job to sort it out.
Hi My Sanyo G2615N-2 has been playing consistently till a couple of weeks back
when the power belt in the record player went. Where can I buy a replacement bekt
I have found, whilst clearing my late fathers house, model Sanyo G-2615N-2, with 3 pin mains (2 pins closer together and the third with a slighty wider spacing). It has the deck, tape deck and radio. Both speakers are intact with the storage compartments each holding an original microphone and stand !!.Unusually the mains(Sanyo) lead is with it as well as a (?) period related headphone set and extention jack plug lead. Not sure how old it is but the case is also very good – haven’t had chance to test yet.
If eny body want have one i have one for sale
Hello, great to find this site. I also have one for sale: model#G2615H – everything works and it’s all there – save one side cover for the speaker wires.
I’m stateside and about to toss it on Ebay for $70.00 – i’ll let you know what it sells for.
