For those that do not know - the animation world lost one of its quiet pillars last weekend - Pixar’s Joe Ranft, who died in a horrible auto accident.  I know that it ain’t exactly "internet fun" - but I thought I would share some of these kind words about an incredible artist who worked on a great number of films that I love.

I’ve been telling people for the last year or so to keep an eye out for "Snakes On a Plane" — perhaps the most ludicrous, yet direct title to come down the development highway since the mid-sixties.

When going through the translation of a pirated DVD: ‘Star Wars, Epidode III: Revenge of the Sith’ becomes "Star War, The Third Gathers: Backstroke of the West." That’s not that funny, but the poor translations of the subtitles are pretty good, er, bad… which makes them good. Check them out.
