Happy National Toasted Marshmallow Day! Yes, today, August 30th is that fine day of the year to celebrate the magnificent Toasted Marshmallow. Sadly, there is nowhere on the Internet worthy of linking to for "all your national toasted marshmallow day needs." So, instead, I present this link to an oddly-designed site about S’Mores.

Hey peoples: I’ve received a report from the East Coast of the U.S. that the site is not displaying images. Anyone else seeing this? If so, please drop me a note.

For those that do not know - the animation world lost one of its quiet pillars last weekend - Pixar’s Joe Ranft, who died in a horrible auto accident. I know that it ain’t exactly "internet fun" - but I thought I would share some of these kind words about an incredible artist who worked on a great number of films that I love.

I’ve been telling people for the last year or so to keep an eye out for "Snakes On a Plane" — perhaps the most ludicrous, yet direct title to come down the development highway since the mid-sixties.

When going through the translation of a pirated DVD: ‘Star Wars, Epidode III: Revenge of the Sith’ becomes "Star War, The Third Gathers: Backstroke of the West." That’s not that funny, but the poor translations of the subtitles are pretty good, er, bad… which makes them good. Check them out. { link from Bill }
